I love country-folksy-cottagy things...quilts qualify on all counts! LL Bean makes especially nice quilts and you can always find them on sale/clearance. 
Quilts are pretty to look at, soft to touch, warming you inside and out = ) They wash up very easily and nicely. They get better with age. They're SO practical! For a person, like me, who enjoys different colors and patterns and mixtures, they really make the heart happy! It may seem silly to you, but I thank God for quilts!!
There is something about a quilt that is warm and inviting! :-)
